Guidelines

The purpose of this site is to allow people to recall events in which God has personally touched their life or someone else’s life with them having borne witness to the event itself or the results of the event. The writer should be no further than one person removed from the event. (For example, Mike in Nevada can’t submit a testimony about what he only heard happened to Jerry in New York). This site does not serve as a bulletin for the latest news (church-related or not), a place for Christian chain prayer requests, or a forum for debates within the Christian church.

Furthermore, this site and the testimonies therein are to be in accord with the principles expressed in the Bible. Testimonies in this site are promulgated from an Evangelical perpective, insofar as Jesus Christ is acknowledged and magnified as Lord and that the authority and truths of the Bible are recognized.

This site is intended to serve Stanford University. Not all testimonies need to have occurred on campus, but every testimony must directly involve (either by participation or by direct witness) a past or current member of the Stanford community.

And lastly, we encourage all who post to be open and honest about the event they are recounting. The testimonies don’t have to be long, they just have to be true. Romans 15:4 tells us that “everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” In the same way, we hope that the testimonies on this site also encourage those who come across and add to them. Be blessed as you read and even continue the stories of what God is doing in people’s lives.
